SpO2, or peripheral oxygen saturation, is a non-invasive measurement of the percentage of oxygen in a person's blood. It's usually measured with a pulse oximeter, which is a device that clips onto a fingertip. A normal SpO2 level for a healthy person is between 96% and 100%.

BPM (beats per minute), A normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute. Generally, a lower heart rate at rest implies more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness. For example, a well-trained athlete might have a normal resting heart rate closer to 40 beats per minute.

BP (blood preasure), is the force of blood pushing against artery walls when the heart pumps. It's measured by two numbers, systolic and diastolic, with systolic coming first. For example, a reading of 120/80 means a systolic pressure of 120 and a diastolic pressure of 80.

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, heart attack, and kidney disease.

Blood pressure categories are:
Normal: Less than 120/80
Elevated: 120–129/less than 80
Stage 1 high blood pressure: 130–139/80–89
Stage 2 high blood pressure: 140 or higher/90 or higher

Medication:

Ramelteon (new begining 1-21-25) 1 8 mg tablet as needed for sleep.
Ramelteon is used to help patients who have sleep-onset insomnia (difficulty falling asleep) fall asleep more quickly. Ramelteon is in a class of medications called melatonin receptor agonists. It works similarly to melatonin, a natural substance in the brain that is needed for sleep.

Risperidone (new begining 1-21-25) 1 .25 mg tablet in the AM and 1 .25 mg tablet in the PM.
Risperidone is a second-generation antipsychotic medication used to treat a number of mental health disorders including schizophrenia, bipolar mania, psychosis, or as an adjunct in severe depression.

acetaZOLAMIDE (aka DIAMOX) 1 250 mg tablet in the AM and 1 250 mg tablet in the PM.
Is a diuretic. It helps you make more urine and to lose salt and excess water from your body. It treats swelling from heart disease.

apixaban (aka ELIQUIS) 1 5 mg tablet in the AM.
is a factor Xa inhibitor, an anticoagulant. It works by decreasing the clotting ability of the blood and helps preventing harmful clots from forming in the blood vessels.

furosemide (aka Lasix) 1 40 mg tablet in the AM.
is a loop diuretic used to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, liver disease, or a kidney disorder such as nephrotic syndrome. Furosemide is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

metoprolol (aka TOPROL) 1 50 mg tablet in the AM and 1 50 mg tablet in the PM.
is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. It also is used to treat chronic (long-term) angina (chest pain). Metoprolol is also used to improve survival after a heart attack. Metoprolol also is used in combination with other medications to treat heart failure.

sotalol (aka BETAPACE) 1 80 mg tablet in the AM and 1 80 mg tablet in the PM.
is commonly used for the following conditions:
(1) To treat certain types of serious (and sometimes life-threatening) arrhythmias, such as ventricular tachycardia
(2) To help keep a normal heart rhythm in people who have atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter

aspirin 1 81 mg tablet in the AM.
Sometimes clots occur inside a damaged heart artery. The clot prevents blood flow to the heart and causes a heart attack. Having a condition called atherosclerosis increases the risk of these types of clots. Since aspirin reduces clotting action, it's thought that daily aspirin therapy could possibly prevent a heart attack.

Combivent Respimat inhaler (aka ipratropium-albuterol) 1 puff every 6 hours.
used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. It's a combination medication that contains two different bronchodilators: ipratropium, a short-acting muscarinic antagonist (SAMA), and albuterol, a short-acting beta agonist (SABA).

levothyroxine (aka SYNTHROID) 1 50 mg tablet in the AM.
is used to treat hypothyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone. This medicine is also used to help decrease the size of enlarged thyroid glands (also called a goiter).

simvastatin (aka ZORCOR) 1 40 mg tablet in the PM.
is used to lower blood levels of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL)

nitroglycerin .6 mg tablet under the tongue every 5 minutes as needed for chest pain not to exceed 3 doses.

Multi Vitamin 1 tablet in the AM.

modafinil (aka PROVIGIL) perscribed but not filled or taken
1 200 mg tablet in the AM.

MultiVitamin 1 tablet in the AM .

PREDNISONE (new begining 1-21-25) 2 20 mg tablets in the AM for 3 days.
Prednisone is a steroid medication that treats conditions like asthma, allergic reactions, arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and adrenal, blood or bone marrow conditions. It decreases inflammation, slows an overactive immune system or replaces cortisol. Cortisol is a hormone that helps your body respond to stress, injury and illness.
